Spring at the Utah Capitol Building
While most people go to Utah's Capitol Building in Salt Lake City during the spring (aka it's famous blossoming season), it can be crowded and busy during that time of year. If you want to skip the crowds but still have springy vibes, opt for April or early May right before things fully bloom. Because the Capitol Building has so much to offer both inside and outside you are almost guaranteed to have gorgeous photos.

Tips for Shooting
My favorite spots to shoot at the Utah State Capitol...
INSIDE: The grand staircase, archways on the third floor, the iconic gold elevator.
OUTSIDE: The curve of the steps to the left of the building, behind the building in the gardens, by the main pillars.
Make sure that when you are shooting inside the building you bring an external flash, I would suggest direct flash for elevator shots and bouncing the flash off of the ceiling for other indoor shots. Almost any time of day works well for shooting inside the building and my preferred time to shoot outside the Capitol is about 1.5 to 2 hours before sunset.
