First Look Logistics
Amberli & Jack chose to do their first look and bridal session before their wedding day at the sprawling Bonneville Salt Flats. They made the drive together and then I helped Amberli get all zipped up into her dress before their first look. Something to keep in mind if you are doing a first look at the Salt Flats is that there isn't a great place to change your clothes other than your car. However, there aren't very many people there most of the time so it is fairly private. A good solution to this issue is to bring a pop-up changing tent, this would apply to any location where you don't have a place to change your clothes.
Afternoon Light
After their first look we took photos with the iconic mountains in the back of the salt flats. This session took place in the summer and they requested an afternoon session. I was a little bit worried about lighting, however sessions like this have made me so much more confident in shooting in direct sunlight. Even though most wouldn't describe this lighting as ideal I thought it turned out really nice!
