I set Curtis up for their first look in a secluded grove of trees where less tourists would be walking around and then went back to zip Amethyst up into her dress. She walked up behind him and lighting tapped him on the shoulder, then he turned around to give her a tight squeeze. Then he started to get a little choked up. They were both so excited to have their photos taken together so once they'd had their moment we made our way over the the bed of rocks by Jenny Lake.

My husband and I were exhausted because had just returned home from our own wedding the day before, but I had booked my very first bridal session in Grand Teton National Park and nothing was going to stop me from getting there! Amethyst and Curtis requested to do a first look and bridal session a little less than a week before their wedding in Idaho. My husband drove us from our home in Utah all the way up to Jenny Lake that afternoon. The trees were a lush green and there was a light fog covering the Tetons in the most mystic way.

I had such a great experience shooting with them because they brought ideas of what they were looking for and I brought some creative ideas as well so it was a wonderful environment to explore and be creative in. We were able to get some of the favorite shots to date.

At the end of their session the last Jenny Lake boat tour was making it's way back to the dock and the captain decided to honk the boat horn just for them! Everyone on the boat started cheering and waving back at us and I quickly snapped the last photo of the night as Amethyst and Curtis started laughing to each other.
